Detailed Introduction to the Eccentric Component of Cone Crusher The eccentric component of the cone crusher is one of its crucial parts. It typically comprises elements such as the eccentric shaft sleeve and eccentric shaft. The eccentric shaft sleeve is linked to the large circular gear via a spline key and is housed within the shaft sleeve of the machine. To counterbalance the inertia force resulting from the swing of the crushing cone, the eccentric shaft sleeve is in contact with the bushing on the frame along its entire length, with its thick side snugly abutting against the frame bushing.

The function of the eccentric component is to drive the movable cone to undertake an eccentric motion, thereby achieving the crushing of materials. Under the influence of the eccentric shaft sleeve, the movable cone not only rotates around the machine's centerline along with the eccentric shaft sleeve but also spins around its own axis. This spatial oscillatory motion causes the surface of the crushing wall to alternately approach and recede from the surface of the fixed cone, enabling the materials to be continuously crushed through extrusion, fracture, and impact within the crushing cavity. The installation and maintenance of the eccentric component are of paramount importance. When installing the eccentric shaft sleeve, the following points should be heeded: 1. Prior to installation, thorough preparations should be made. Inspect all parts of the equipment to ensure normal operation and prepare the requisite tools and spare parts. 2. Thoroughly cleanse the relevant components, particularly the installation holes of the eccentric shaft sleeve, to eliminate dust and impurities. 3. Pay meticulous attention to the installation sequence and methodology. For instance, position the upper thrust bearing at the bottom of the eccentric sleeve, ensure the alignment of the hole positions, place the adjustment pad and tighten the screws, and guarantee that the boss is securely lodged within the groove of the bottom cover. 4. During the installation process, scrupulously check the gap between the eccentric shaft sleeve and the straight bushing of the frame, as well as the up-and-down gap between the main shaft and its sleeve. Ensure that the gap between the eccentric shaft sleeve and the straight bushing is uniform top to bottom and satisfies the requirement of balanced contact between the main shaft and the sleeve to guarantee the normal oscillation of the eccentric shaft. These gaps should be installed in strict accordance with the design scheme. 5. After installing the eccentric shaft sleeve and other components such as the large gear onto the frame, it is necessary to measure the meshing gap of the gear by employing methods such as lead pressure or shaft rotation. When the principal parts of the eccentric component are utilized to a certain extent, they should be repaired or replaced. For instance, if the outer cone of the eccentric shaft sleeve is worn by more than 3 millimeters; the gap between the straight bushing and the eccentric shaft sleeve exceeds twice the original assembly gap, or the straight bushing has a crack exceeding one-third of the circumference or height; the gap between the cone sleeve and the upper portion of the main shaft exceeds twice the original assembly gap or features a severe crack; the tooth thickness of the large cone gear is worn by more than 20%; the lower thrust bearing pad of the eccentric shaft sleeve is worn with a non-parallel deviation exceeding 0.1 millimeter or has a thickness wear of more than 5 millimeters, etc., the corresponding parts need to be repaired or replaced. Furthermore, during the daily operation of the cone crusher, attention should also be devoted to the regular inspection and maintenance of the eccentric component to ensure its smooth operation and prolong the service life of the equipment. Concurrently, the correct lubricating oil should be utilized, and the lubrication system should operate properly to avert malfunctions of the eccentric component due to lubrication issues. When feeding materials, meticulous attention should be paid to the particle size and distribution of the materials to prevent additional loads and wear on the eccentric component caused by uneven feeding or an excessive fine powder content.
